Chambray Haze ? ?

So I have an announcement to make: after a two year phase of trawling the nation far and wide, I’m pleased to say the search the the perfect jumpsuit is finally over (thank you, Dorothy Perkins!). I feel like every woman needs a chambray item in her wardrobe for the spring/summer months- it’s a loose, lightweight fabric which allows you to feign that classic light-wash denim look without the sticky second-skin feeling of wearing actual denim in the heat!

I fell in love with this piece because it combines two of my favourite summer trends: broderie anglaise and bardot necklines… plus for £19.50 in the sale I simply couldn’t pass it up! As it’s such a statement piece, I decided to style it with some simple accessories, so I could let the chambray really do the talking. I made a matching choker, which is available from my online shop, so you can snap so you ladies can snap one up too.

To finish off the look, I sprinkled some daisies in my hair, then paired some raffia platform sandals with this adorable straw bag from h&m, and cinched my waist in with a simplistically, stylish brown belt from Primark, (or Primarni, as it’s affectionately called). Straw accessories are very ‘in’ this season, so this combination really is a match made in heaven.

The jumpsuit is currently sold out on Dorothy Perkins, but it’s also sold on Zalando.co.uk so keep an eye out here…I managed to grab the last one in my size by constantly checking for restocks, so hopefully your patience pays off too! In the meantime, I’ve linked a couple of alternative chambray/broderie pieces which would also look gorgeous with some straw accessories- the possibilities are endless!

Let me know what you think of my chambray style.

Much Love,

Miss SWT
