Blooms ‘n Blossoms: My top 5 floral blouses for those Instagram-worthy blossom tree snaps! ??

So yesterday was an absolute beaut of the day (thank you, Mr Sun!),  which almost makes up for the fact that we lost a WHOLE HOUR of sleep this morning. If you love your bed anywhere near as much as I do, you’ll realise just how much of a big deal this is, but you know what they say: every cloud has a silver lining! We’ve got an extra hour of daylight to look forward to every day (and justify slightly premature transitional season outfits), so yay! As you’ll probably know by now, I’ve been really feelin’ aaaaaaaall the Spring vibes this year, so I took inspo from Mother Nature and put together a seasonal look featuring some signature Spring blooms, and lots of general pastel prettiness to boot!

To start off, I popped on this beautiful blossom print blouse, snapped up from H&M last year. Flowers are are one of my favourite things about Spring so this was a case of love at first sight, plus, bonus points for the fact that it matches my background (didn’t plan that one at all)! ? Apart from the sleeves (#LongArmProblems), this is one of those accidentally tall-friendly pieces that every tall woman knows and loves… Naturally, to show off the length I tied it up into a cute crop top (just kidding, but it does look really cute tied up, no?)

I feel like H&M are the absolute QUEENS of Spring-worthy shirts/blouses. Don’t believe me? Check out this rosy posy beaut! Featuring fluted sleeves and pretty tie-up detailing in an airy, lightweight fabric, this is one piece that’ll see you right through the warmer months in style!

Not into pastels and want something with a tad more zing (and length)? Check out this pretty, peachy blouse from Fashion Union Tall. With its gathered cup detailing and plunging neckline, this is classy and feminine with a hint of ‘Ooh la la’.

You may have noticed from my recent looks that I’ve been feeling the pink lately, but this time around, I thought I’d switch things up with a blue pleated midi skirt to keep you all guessing. I’m a pretty recent convert to the pleated skirt society as they can  be pretty hit ‘n miss- there’s a fine line between ‘classy lady’, and ‘hello, granny!’, but I feel like the cornflower blue hue puts a modern spin on an old classic, which I absolutely love! Me being me, I also couldn’t resist adding a powder pink belt (similar) for a pastel pop of colour.

Wanna avoid the grandma chic look? Why not style your pleated midi skirt with a cute bardot top like this Dorothy Perkins cutie? Pair her with a pretty, pastel choker and some matching floral earrings for effortless Spring style!

It looks like things are finally starting to hot up weather-wise but when it comes to British weather, there’s not much difference between a Spring breeze and a Winter chill, so I played it safe and threw on a dusky pink suedette biker jacket (similar here). I really need to stop with these… I think I have a total of four (yes, F-O-U-R) in my wardrobe, but they really are the perfect Spring cover-up- super soft, with just a touch of toastiness to keep those chills at bay!

The best thing about suedette bikers is they’re soooooooo easy to style- try pairing yours with that classic ‘jeans and a nice top’ combo in this beautiful floral print jumper from Oasis… the perfect ‘all-weather’ outfit! P.S. It even comes as a cami if like me, you can’t get over that print! ???

To finish off, I kept things neutral with my favourite white boot ‘n bag combo… beautifully framed by a ‘host of lovely daffodils’, to quote Wordsworth (#Scholarly). You can never really go wrong with white accessories, and these are my absolute go-toes- the boots are ridiculously comfy, and the bag’s one of those style stunners that goes with absolutely everything! I bought mine a while back, but you can still steal my style with your very own pair thanks to River Island and Public Desire.

For ladies who can’t get enough sunshine, you could always catch some rays in this adorable sunflower print crop top! With its zingy colours and stretchy, shirred design, this is cute ‘n comfy in a single piece!

And there you have it: bloomin’ beautiful blouses that’ll make you wanna #DoItForTheGram!
